Youth Rugby Skills Clinic - July 22-26, 2008

Learn the Sport of Rugby (in a non-contact environment)!

 

The Budd Bay Rugby Football Club (BBRFC) is offering a rugby skills clinic for 12-15 year old Girls and Boys. Coaching staff will teach basic rugby ball handling, rules of the game, and other rugby skills. This is a non-contact clinic . Sign up soon, because the clinic will be limited to just 80 players , and will fill up very quickly.

 

DATES & TIME: The program will run from July 22nd -26th . From Tuesday the 22nd to Friday the 25th , the clinic will run from 4:30-6:30 PM. On Saturday, the 26th , the clinic will run from 1:00-5:00 PM.

 

LOCATION: William A. Bush Park in Lacey Washington, located at the intersection of Yelm Hwy SE and Rainer Loop SE, just South of College St. SE.

 

ATTIRE: Shorts/sweats, t-shirt/sweatshirt, sneakers or molded cleats.

 

COST: $30 per player. All players will be given a t-shirt and rugby ball to take home.

 

ABOUT THE CLINC: Participants will learn the basics of rugby from veteran instructors in a well-supervised, non-contact, safe environment. They also will compete in flag rugby games. Rugby is a fast-paced game that is played in over 120 countries throughout the world. Much of its value comes from its rich history, traditions, camaraderie and community involvement with the sport.

 

ABOUT BBRFC: Budd Bay Rugby Football Club, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, was founded in 1998. Over the last ten years, Budd Bay Rugby has grown the sport of rugby in the Thurston, Mason and Lewis Counties . We have adult men's (the Buffaloes) and women's (The Bandits) teams, and youth (15 to 19 year olds) under-19 boy's (the Barbarians) and girl's (the Steelheads). New players are always welcome, no experience is necessary.
